Gold From God's Word

Imagine your name being recorded for all eternity, and it simply said that "you walked with God." That's pretty much all the Bible has to say about a man named Enoch (Gen.5:21-24). Very little about Enoch's life is recorded, but we can be certain his life was significant. It had true meaning... maybe not on earth, but Heaven seemed to be quite pleased with the life of Enoch. In fact, he was one of only two men in the Bible who were taken from this earth without seeing death, because God wanted them in heaven.

Perhaps it is time to put aside the tired demands of this world and begin to cultivate an appetite for heaven, an insatiable craving for the Kingdom that is to come. After all, where you spend eternity is eternal! God did create you to walk with Him. How close to Him are you? All that is seen will be burned up some day. How sad it is to see people govern their whole life toward the gain of riches and material possessions that make them (deceitfully) think they are happy and successful and miss out on the incredible walk of faith and the doing of things that really satisfy the soul, like helping a neighbor in need, spending time with your children and sharing with others how they too, can be saved and spend eternity in Heaven! God is always there... have you talked with Him today?
