Floyd Gene Litts

Floyd Gene Litts, 86, formerly from Great Bend Township, peacefully entered into rest on August 11, 2017.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Eleanor Litts in 2006.  He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Elmina Litts, and his siblings, Milton Litts, Edna Reichardt, Robert Litts, and Marion Gilbert.

He is survived by two sons, Steven and his spouse, Lisa Litts, and David Litts; grandchildren, Nicole Litts and spouse, Curt Klump, Jessica and spouse, Eric Daniels, Matthew Litts, Sarah Litts; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Isabelle, and Olivia Daniels.

Floyd enlisted in the US Navy after high school, followed by a career with IBM in Endicott, NY.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and gardening.  He was a loving father and husband and will be greatly missed.

A viewing was held on Thursday, August 17, and Friday, August 18, followed by a funeral service at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA.

Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery.

James Neil Slocum

James Neil Slocum, 76, of Slocum Hill Road, Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 after an illness.

He was born in Harmony Township, PA the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Slocum.

James was predeceased by his sister, Jeanette LaBarre.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joan Slocum; two sons, Dale Slocum and Greg Lillibridge; two brothers, Charles and Lee Slocum; three grandchildren, Timothy James (TJ), Kierstyn and John; one great-grandchild, Rowan.

After graduating from high school, James served in the United States Navy. Following his time in the service, he owned and operated Slocum Hill Farm. Along with operating his farm, James worked as a carpenter, belonging to the Local 281 Carpenters Union from which he retired. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
