Robert J. Fleming, in his 85th year, passed away on February 5, 2017.  He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie.

Bob is also survived by a sister-in-law, Gail; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.  He was the last surviving child of five children.

Bob was a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Olean, NY class of 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies.  He served over seas with the Army as a First Lieutenant in the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #6223 in Great Bend, PA.  Upon his return he was a teacher of Social Studies at Susquehanna Valley, Conklin, NY until his retirement in 1987.  He was a 2010 inductee to S.V.’s Wall of Fame for his dedication for 25 years as the Cross Country and Baseball Coach, as well as 1978 & 1979 STAC and Section 4 Cross Country Championship Teams.  He was a lifetime member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Good Shepherd-Fairview Nursing Home where he was a resident for the last several years. 

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA.

Arrangements by Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., 25 Susquehanna Ave., Hallstead, PA.

Spring interment will be made in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
