DAVID JAMES BENTLER
David James Bentler, 56, of Susquehanna, PA went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Patricia; five children, Tonya Bentler, Fred Bentler, Edward and Loretta Bentler, Kenya Bentler, and Danielle Bentler; his mother, Margaret Bentler; eleven grandchildren, Cameron, Matthew, Ali, Ayden, Gabby, Summer, Gavin, Lexie, Ashlee, Cody, and Kayla; sisters, Tammy, Geraldine, and Lisa; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and close friends, who were like brothers, Gary, Jimmy, Tank, Bobby, Howard, and Russell.
Dave was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting. He loved trips to the casino, BBQs, working in his garden, and working on cars. He sincerely cared for everyone he met and would give the shirt off his back if he saw the need. Dave offered a helping hand to anyone who needed assistance. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Scott Baker (B-K EMT) for his compassion and quick response. They would also like to thank Angela and Dr. Schell for keeping him home with his family and meeting his needs, regardless of time of day or night.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Hallstead, PA.
KATHERINE ANN MARVIN BUTTON
Katherine Ann Marvin Button, 44, of Hallstead, PA was reunited with her son, Roy Marvin on November 15, 2015. Roy predeceased her in February 2015.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita Sanders; her father, Harry and Marge Marvin; a daughter, Stephanie Button; two granddaughters, Lana and Ally Marvin; siblings, Harry, Bill, Janet, Carolyn, and Chris; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kathy enjoyed working with and caring for young children. She had many friends who cared for her deeply. Kathy possessed a big heart, genuine kindness, sense of humor, which drew people to her. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A funeral service was held at 7:00 p.m., November 19, 2015 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Peoples Security Bank and Trust, Lana and Ally Marvin Education Fund, 82 Franklin Avenue, Hallstead, PA 18822.
Rachel Adornato
Rachel Adornato, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the age of 92 at the Barnes Kasson SNF in Susquehanna, PA.
Rachel was preceded by her mother, Marina, her father, Carmelo, and three brothers, Anthony, Francis, and Philip.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph (Catherine) Adornato, and many nieces and nephews.
Rachel was a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Susquehanna Fire Department Auxiliary. She was employed for many years at Reddon’s Drug Store where she retired and had many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.
Interment was held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA.

Alfred G. Green Jr.
Alfred G. Green Jr. 74, of North Jackson, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at the Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.
Alfred was predeceased by his father, Alfred G. Green Sr.; daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Green; and grandson, Benjamin Matthew Green.
He was survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alberta Green; his mother, Helen (Covert) Green; son, Lorne Green; daughter, Doriann Silvernail; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Alexander, and Victoria Green, Alicia Heller, and Jennifer and Kevin Silvernail; and several very close friends.
Alfred was a graduate of Livingston High School in New Jersey. After high school Alfred worked as an accredited radio news reporter for WVPO Stroudsburg, PA and NBC news radio affiliate West Easton, PA. He then became a corporate news writer for Orange and Rockland Utilities as well as New York State Electric and Gas, for which he worked until his retirement. Alfred was a member of the Stillwater Volunteer Fire Company in Stillwater, NJ. He was also a devoted member of the St. Michael’s Church in Binghamton, NY. After his retirement Alfred enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass was held Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the St. Michael’s Church, Clinton St., Binghamton, NY, with Rev. James Dudko officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
