New Milford Ends Summer In Style

New Milford Borough and its Parks and Recreation Board invite everyone to help wrap up this summer by enjoying some great entertainment.  The first ever “Movie and Music in the Parks” series ends this month with two great events.

The women’s vocal group “Saving Graces” will sing at the gazebo at Midtown Park on August 28.  This free event begins at 6:30 p.m.  Baked goods and other refreshments will be available.

The following evening, families are invited to gather at Blue Ridge Park.  At dusk, the movie “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” will be shown.  Rain date for the movie is August 30.

The concerts and the movie are free, just bring your own chair or blanket.  For more information about the New Milford “Movie and Music in the Parks” series, contact the borough offices at 570- 465-3394.

Senator Baker Sets Office Hours

Senator Lisa Baker, R-20, announced that Field Representative Tom Yoniski will be available for consultation from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Susquehanna Depot Borough Building, 83 Erie Boulevard, Suite A, Susquehanna Depot.

Rep. Yoniski will also be available from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Lenox Township Municipal Building, 222 State Route 2016, Nicholson and from 10 a.m.-noon at the Forest City Borough Building, 535 Main St., Forest City, on Friday, Sept. 18. While appointments are recommended, walk-ins are welcome.

Constituents are encouraged to visit with any questions or problems relating to state matters and no appointment is necessary though they can be scheduled.
