On March 6, 1857 the Supreme Court of the United States issued the Dred/Scott decision to settle the top question of the 1850s – Was slavery to be legal. The majority decision held that as a black, Scott was not free because he was not considered a person (human being), but a possession.
On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court of the United States gave women the right to abort their babies because, “the court could not prove the person hood of the unborn child.”
We now know, scientifically that both decisions were totally wrong and that declaring a person to be a non person ignores the humanity of all unwanted persons. There is no scientific difference between a newly conceived fetus (Latin for little one), a new born baby or a full grown adult – it is simply a matter of maturation – all are human beings. Our nation’s refusal to remember the Supreme Court's statement when they rendered their decision that - if it were proved scientifically that the fetus is a human person from conception, the Roe/Wade decision would no longer apply.
Strong lobbying has buried the reality that this has been scientifically proved because abortion is now a very lucrative business. Is it too much to ask that we accept that selling baby parts is a direct evolution from Roe/Wade.
On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court declared same sex marriages are to be legal in all 50 states. All three decisions and the consequences of those decisions harshly affect the lives of most Christians. We will soon elect a new president. For Christians, these are very important issues. The choice is clear. Do Christians silence our conscience and vote for those who support the government’s right to dictate our principles and ethics? Can we worship our God and ignore the gruesome, planned slaughter of preborn babies to more effectively acquire body parts for selling? Can we quiet our consciences with our old excuse that our vote does not count? Or is it possible that the death and dismemberment and now selling of body parts of millions of our next generation wake us to the responsibility we have as Christians - to do all we can to stop this killing for convenience and/or monetary gain and the invasion of our rights to worship our God without government interference.
It no longer matters which party a candidate belongs to, as it did earlier in our nation’s history. Voters must listen to the direction candidates hope to lead us in and how they respond to questions about the direction in which we are now headed. And then we must ALL vote. Our country is in great decline. Our Constitution is under attack. It can be stopped only if citizens wake up and speak out with their vote.

I refer, specifically to the commentary of July 31, titled: While America Slept.
This "gentle reader" might suggest to the author, do your research. You do a great dis-service to all American women with a story of the heinous actions of a private practice doctor, who is not affiliated with Planned Parenthood. I note that although you do not make that statement, you lead one, who may not do the homework, to think that.
I would also suggest, look up the militant anti-abortion group: Center for Medical Progress on the internet, or you-tube.
I had never heard of this group until recently. The group has a non-profit (501 c) status and is headed by a young man, which in polite company, one might call a zealot. I would also call to your gentle readers, attention, this 5 part video is heavily edited and photo-shopped. The video is very mis-leading, but certainly attention grabbing. I think all propaganda is designed with that in mind.
I would also be mindful that this is an election year. It is my opinion that the pro choice, pro life banner comes out in all election years. Such a pity. In 1973 there was a supreme court ruling: Roe vs Wade. It gives, among many things, a individual woman the freedom, and right to her body. Her body. Not a decision to be made by a militant pro life group.
I do agree that this is a dividing issue. I don't understand why that is. We seem to have no trouble with men and their health issues, ie: the little blue pill, yet we seem to have a problem with women health issues. I think any woman who would try and legislate, or shame another woman for her body choices, should be ashamed of herself. As for the men who would regulate a woman, or her body decisions, I would wonder what mommy issues they harbor.
I do not want to sound like this Doctor should not be punished, and by the report, he is. I just cannot let this commentary go unanswered, as it pertains to Planned Parenthood. I have grand-daughters and I want them to have access to a clean, safe medical clinic that provides women’s services. These services also include their child. I would also want your " gentle readers" to know that not all Planned Parenthood clinics perform abortions. They are professional counselors and give all medical options and referrals. Sometimes the mother has other children that need her, and for whatever reason, a procedure might be necessary to save the mother.
They do cancer screenings, I thank God for that.
I do have to say "way to go Center for Medical Progress", you just set your agenda back to the middle ages, where it belongs! Today's young folks are more media savvy than their grandparents, they can pick out a media scam on video and you-tube, in a heart beat. And they look at it as such. I think this generation doesn't look at Planned parenthood as having any back alley procedures, and take for granted all that the senior women among us have done for them, so that these young women have choices of good, affordable women's health care.

As a supporter and 15 year volunteer at Planned Parenthood, I’m disheartened by the latest attacks on the organization. When I read “While America Slept, by Kerri Ellen Wilder, I felt that I needed to speak up for the 2.6 million men and women who look to Planned Parenthood for high-quality healthcare, including birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, STD testing and treatment, and other preventative healthcare services.
Heavily doctored videos released in the past few eeks show extremist activists posing as healthcare worker and badgering longtime physicians, in the hopes of getting them to discuss unethical and criminal activity they clearly know nothing about. These Videos are part of a deacde-long campaign of deceiving the public, making false charges, and terrorizing women and their doctors, all to ban abortion and cut women off from care at Planned Parenthood.
Few seem to remember the days before Roe V Wade, before abortion was safe and legal. At 81 years old, I lived through that time and I know that we are so fortunate to have access to a whole range of high quality reproductive healthcare through providers like Planned Parenthood because that was not always the case.

The Uighars are a Turkic ethnic group of approximately 13 million whose homeland is in East Turkestan. They are not Han Chinese. Most are Muslims, some are Christians. For over 24 years the Chinese government has been systematically persecuting, imprisoning and executing them. Xinjiang, the region in which they reside, is incredibly rich in oil and natural gas.
The Communist Chinese, not known for diversity or tolerance, label those whom they would destroy as political prisoners. Xianjiang is the place where a dead Uighar, Christian, or Falun Gong member is a productive member of society.
A young, healthy political prisoner is selected and shot on the right side of the chest. A surgical team moves in quickly and operates on the still living political prisoner. Heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, corneas, etc. are “harvested” and sold. The heart is last because it is still beating.
This is happening now. The organs go to the political class, the military, and a profitable export market. In 2011, a kidney was $4,700. Things have gotten a little better over the years. There is tissue matching for specificity and blood anti-coagulants administered to allow for more time and a better removal of organs. If a family is willing to pay for the bullet used to execute their child, the corpse will be sewn up and released to them. Progress. Moving Forward.
The Falun Gong joined the Uighars as a class to be eliminated because they protested - peacefully - against the brutal regime. It doesn’t help them that many are Christians. They, too, are being “harvested.”
The Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government - 1 - 2 million. Lenin, Stalin, Krushchev - 30 - 40 million. Mao - 40- 60 million. Hitler and the Nazis - homosexuals, mentally disabled, political prisoners, Catholics, Protestants, gypsies, Poles, Slavs, Russians, etc. - approximately 12 million. Jews - 6+ million. Khmer Rouge - 3 -4 million. Uighars and Falun Gong? By now, probably a million or so. And counting.
Statistics. A million here, a million there, pretty soon we’re talking about real numbers.
This letter is not about Uighars, or the Falun Gong. It’s about the moral depravity and murderous executions happening every day at hundreds of Planned Parenthood execution chambers and distribution centers. There will be more released videos. There will be more denials from Planned Parenthood. Progress. Moving Forward.
The emaciated bodies were piled in huge mounds. The ovens were filled with bones. The huge chimneys were still smoking. The Nazis recorded it on film. The Grand Synagogue in Prague was going to be used as a museum to chronicle their success in destroying the “Untermenschen.” To this very day it is denied by those who still advocate it.
How many organs from babies have to be harvested to buy a Lamborghini, or a yacht, or a new Lear jet, or another mansion, or a warm greeting at a perpetual round of cocktail parties?
How much more moral relativism has to be invented to justify it?
One of the worst racists, a woman who advocated the elimination of Eastern and Southern European immigrants, (read: Catholics and Jews), the “feeble minded,” Black Americans, poor Southern White Americans said, “Eugenics is the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems. Read her book, “What Every Girl Should Know.” Do your homework. Margaret Sanger was the founder of the American Birth League, the predecessor of Planned Parenthood. Did I mention that Margaret Sanger, the racist eugenicist, is admired and praised by Hillary Clinton.
Quoting Hillary, “....it’s about making sure that every woman and girl...deserves to fulfill her potential, a potential as a mother, as a worker, as a human being.” Or, as a valuable body part to be sold to the highest bidder in the name of Science, Progress, Moving Forward.
If we, as an ethical, religious, educated society allow the murder and harvesting of baby parts for sale or any other reason, then history will record that the greatest nation on earth became so morally corrupt as to practice infanticide for profit.
Our founding document states “....that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Do these self evident truths not apply to babies? If we allow this to continue, what then separates the U.S.A. from some of the worst mass murderous regimes in world history?
