Victor Welch, 86, of Hallstead, PA, entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2015 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Ethel Welch, 8 brothers, 6 sisters, his wife of 41 and a half years, Leona, and step daughter, Luanne Dooley.
He is survived by his loving companion of 22 years, Sis Thatcher; one sister, Louise Davis; and his two loving families; son, Michael and Debbie Welch; daughters, Roxane and Butch Davis and Shawn and Gordy Stanley; a step daughter, Diane and Pat Lynch; grandchildren, Cory Dixon, Melissa and Justin Ross, Victor and Marie Welch, Hope and Fred Steffens, Vincent Edwards, Joseph Edwards, and Julia Stanley; step grandchildren, Jackie, Kelly, and Patty Lynch, Kasey and Steven White, and Lynnette Dooley; great grandchildren, Brandon and Destiny Hood, Stephen Dixon, Tucker Hodges, Olivia and Ava Steffens, Nicholas and Lauren Ross, Lillian Edwards, and Kendall White; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including his best friend, Nate Miller.
Victor was very proud to have been loved by two wonderful women and two loving families. He belonged to the Hallstead Fire Company for over 45 years, the Fire Police, American Legion Post #357, and a Municipal Police officer for 18 years. Victor was a truck driver for many years and retired from Phillips Foundry and Blue Ridge Motors in 1991. He loved to be with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had two special girls he included as grandchildren, Tracy and Nicole. Victor was completely dedicated to his family and his community. He was often seen in various restaurants for his daily coffee. He will be greatly missed.
A funeral service was held Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA 18822. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
