Francis Paluch is our May Resident of the Month at Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on May 28th to Helen and Mike Paluch. His Parents owned a three hundred acre farm in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania where they milked ninety head of cattle. The farm was originally owned by his paternal grandparents who settled there from Russia. Mike Paluch worked on the farm while his wife, Helen worked for the local dress factories.
Francis Paluch
Francis attended Lakewood School and transferred to Hancock High School. When Francis was a senior in high school, his father died suddenly. Francis stepped up and took on added responsibilities for his mother. Francis also worked for Camp Milling Feed in Poyntelle, Pennsylvania and for Sienko Inc. making pallets. He started working for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 1972 as an equipment operator. He retired after 35 years of keeping state roads safe.
Francis was a loyal member of the Lake Como Lions Club and transferred to the Forest City Lions with forty years of service in total. At Forest City Nursing & Rehab Center, Francis enjoys coffee time, musical entertainment, family visits, church, mass, and socializing with fellow residents. He is a fan of Nascar and Dale Earnhardt. Francis can fix machines, cars, and anything mechanical. He also enjoys hunting and fishing if he has any free time. It truly is a pleasure to know you, Francis, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.
