6th Annual Local Author’s Luncheon

The Novel Woman Book Club is sponsoring the 6th annual Local Author’s Luncheon to benefit the Forest City Library. This year’s featured speaker is Angela Shelton, the author of Finding Angela Shelton, a true story of triumph after abuse, neglect and violence. An author, actor, and public speaker, Ms Shelton has been writing since she was eight years old. Her first novel was adapted into the movie Tumbleweeds. Angela won a regional Emmy award for her portrayal of Safe Side Superchick in The Safe Side video series created by Baby Einstein’s Julie Clark. After living in Los Angeles for over a decade, Angela left the big city for a one-light country town to marry her first love and fulfill her dream of writing books in a barn house. Angela has incorporated the character of Tilda Pinkerton into an entire line of book projects, each geared towards a different age group in order to help kids, teachers and parents enjoy learning and reading more.

The luncheon will take place at Stonebridge Inn & Restaurant, Elk Mountain, on Thursday, September 19. A time of hospitality will be held at 11:30 with a luncheon served at 12:15, followed by the speaker. There is a cost for this luncheon. For more information contact the Forest City Library by September 11th at 785-5590, which is located at 531 Main Street, Forest City PA 18421.
