Dolores A. Carpenter
Dolores A. Carpenter, 81, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna, PA.
She was born in Starrucca, PA, the daughter of the late James F. and Maryann (Rogers) Gilleran.
Dolores was predeceased by her husband James Carpenter in 2010, a great granddaughter Calene Crawford, son-in-law John Pirnik, several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters Debbie Pirnik, Hallstead, PA and Patricia Carpenter, Naples, FL, three sisters Rose Potter, PA, Helen Gilleran, FL, Claire Johnson, VA, five grandchildren; Tammy and Matt Bennett, Shannon and Chad Crawford, Tim and Robin Seagrave, Brian and Tara Kelly, Ashley Kelly, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Dolores was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed.
At the request of Dolores, a grave side service will be held in the spring at the Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson SNF, Susquehanna, PA.

Joseph A. de Cheubell
Joseph A. de Cheubell, 48, of Windsor, NY, entered into God’s eternal care Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Barnes-Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA.
Born August 8, 1964, in Hanover, he was the son of John F. de Cheubell of Biglerville and the late Mary Lou (Harman) Dehoff.
Joe was employed at Balducci Bluestone in Windsor, NY. He was a 1982 graduate of Littlestown High School and a member of the McSherrystown Moose and Adams County A.B.A.T.E.
Surviving in addition to his father is a daughter: Kelly Ann Luckenbaugh of Biglerville; a sister: Stacey Cook and her husband David Cook Sr. of Littlestown; a niece: Stephanie Olvera and nephew: David Cook Jr. He was preceded in death by twin brothers: Robert A. and William J. de Cheubell.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, January 19, 2012, at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave. McSherrystown, with Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown.
Contributions in memory of Joe may be made to the funeral home towards the funeral expenses.

Eveyln R. Humbert
Evelyn R. Humbert, 100, passed away, Friday, December 21, 2012 at Gracious Living Estates. Born December 3, 1912 in South Gibson, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hubbard B. and the late Addie Belle [Gelatt] Payne.
She graduated from Montrose High School in 1929. After working at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory in Endicott, NY she went to Syracuse University School of Nursing graduating in 1933. She met John Humbert at Syracuse and they married July 18, 1934 in Phoenix, Arizona. He predeceased her on November 20, 1984. They lived in Arizona and New Mexico for fourteen years before moving back to Susquehanna County and establishing their home in Jackson. In 1970 she began work at the skilled nursing unit at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna where she worked for seven years before retiring.
She was active in the Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson 4H club, Gibson Grange #798 and the Montrose Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of American Revolution). In later years she enjoyed traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loyal trusted friend.
The family is grateful to Dr. Joseph Speicher, Mr. Richard Surfass and the staff at Gracious Living Estates, Hospice and to Retha Stone’s caregivers for their support and loving care.
Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, John Humbert of Mantua, NJ, Goerge & Kate Humbert of Danville, PA, David & Connie Humbert of Great Bend, PA, daughter & son-in-law, Louise & Ed Eastman of Rome, PA, grandchildren & spouses, Judith Humbert, John & Maureen Humbert, William & Holly Humbert, Frank & Amanda Humbert, Jim & Tracy Humbert, Tom & Laurie Humbert, Jim & Janean Eastman, Myron & Amanda Eastman, Robert & Alicia Caswell, Zachary & Megan Humbert, 21 great grandchildren, sister, Winifred Norris of West Chester, PA, nieces & nephews.
Besides her parents & husband she was predeceased by brothers, Franklyn & George Payne, daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Humbert, brother-in-law, Paul Norris.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ann M. Robinson
Ann M. Robinson, 101, of Susquehanna, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna.
She was born in Carbondale, PA, the daughter of Ray and Lois (Perry) Stone.
She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Willis J. Robinson, brother Walter Stone, brothers-in-law Joseph, Walter, Robert and Donald Robinson, sisters-in-law; Dorothy Passetti, Ethel Robinson and Jean Stone.
Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Ray Rice, North Jackson, PA, two granddaughters Marcy and Craig Rychlewski, Binghamton, NY and Amanda and Donald Geiger, Kirkwood, NY, three great grandchildren, Aidan R. Geiger, Ryan A. Rychlewski and Rachel Ann Rychlewski. She is survived by a brother-in-law; Thomas Robinson and many nieces and nephews. In addition, she is survived by her friends and home caregivers, Marcia White, Nancy Hadden, Florence Bucci and Kathy Miller.
Ann was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, Susquehanna, PA. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and caring for her family. She was a kind, gentle woman who was loved by all who knew her, and will be deeply missed by her family.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 3:00pm, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA with Pastor Chris Williams officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Fire Department, 43 Erie Blvd., Susquehanna, PA.
