GARY A. GRAY
Gary A. Gray, 70, of Thompson, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife is the former Mary Roemer.
Born in Old Forge, son of the late Raymond and Jane Richardson Gray, he was a member of the Thompson United Methodist Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was employed as a tool and die engineer; prior to his retirement, he was employed as a salesman for Drumco Plastics, New Jersey. He was a member of the board of directors of the NEPA Health Center, a past scout master for the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of the Free & Accepted Masons Freedom Lodge #328, Thompson. He was a member of the Thompson United Methodist Church choir and also active in the Endless Mountains Children’s Choir.
Also surviving are 4 sons: Brian Gray and wife Nadine, South Abington, Brian Delhagen and wife Gayle, Manassas, VA, Shawn Delhagen, Dunmore, Daniel Gray, Thompson; 2 daughters: Coleen Hay and husband John, Garwood, NJ, Marcy Wasilchak and husband Scot, Jessup; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Raymond Gray and wife Marion, Reading, Glen Gray and wife Patti, Easton; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Friday, November 4 in the Thompson United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lloyd Canfield, Pastor. Interment, Ararat Cemetery.

AMY K. LAMB
Amy Kathleen Lamb, formerly of New Milford, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was 56 and lived in the Mount Washington neighborhood.
Born in Susquehanna, Amy attended Blue Ridge schools and graduated in 1973. She received a bachelor's degree in film-making from Pennsylvania State University in 1977 and began her career in Pittsburgh, principally in the production of television programming and advertising.
With another film-maker, she founded Lumiere Films in 1994, and the company's output included award-winning commercials and corporate videos. She also worked as a crew member on Hollywood films using Pittsburgh locations, such as "The Next Three Days" in 2010 and "The Road" in 2009.
In an obituary, a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editor wrote: "Respected for her skill, taste and dedication, she was equally adored for her generous personality and gentle humor."
Amy's death was the result of cancer. She had survived an earlier battle with the disease in the 1990s.
She was the youngest child of Frederick and Louise Powers Lamb and is survived by her partner of more than 20 years, Ana Kelly, and by siblings Tonia Lapp, Jacqueline Nagorny, Eric Lamb and Jane Bonner, all living in the Philadelphia area, and Larry Lamb of North Carolina.
JACK M. NORRIS
Jack M. Norris, 78, of Susquehanna, PA, joined his wife Beverly in Eternal Rest on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at his home. He was born in Susquehanna, PA, to the late Bruce and Marion (Getter) Norris.
Jack was predeceased by his first wife Maureen and his late wife Beverly; his brother Donald Norris; and one son Bill Norris.
He is survived by his four sons and daughter-in-laws, Donald and Debra Norris, Richard and Linda Norris, Chris and Mary Norris, and Jeff and Shannon Norris; two daughters and son-in-laws, Suzanne and Jody Stanley, and Stacy and Wayne Huyck; one sister and brother-in-law Joan and John Eyner; grandchildren Liane and Michael Fabrizi, Chad and Bobbi Jo Norris, Danielle Carmody, Jared and Stephanie Norris, Lynne Norris, Cody Norris and Kacey Norris, Sean, Craig, and Alexa Stanley, Taylor and Lauren Huyck, and Andrew Norris; great grandchildren, Tatum, Bailey, Ashton, Lillian, Jack, Ryan, and Maura; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jack graduated from the Susquehanna High School. He worked for the Erie Railroad and then became the owner and operator of B.K. Norris Distributors in Susquehanna, PA. He belonged to several organizations including the Moose Lodge 794, American Legion Post #86, Canawacta Rod and Gun Club, Chemical (Susquehanna) Fire Company, S.O.L.I.D.A., the Susquehanna Community School Board, Susquehanna County Industrial Society, and was Vice Chairman of People’s Neighborhood Bank Board of Directors. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing with many of his good friends, He was a devoted dad and a loving grandpa to his many grandchildren who adored him.
A mass of Christian burial was offered at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA, on Monday, November 7, 2011, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.
Burial was held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA, or the Susquehanna Fire Department.
EDWARD FAY COLLINS
Edward “Ed” Fay Collins, 70, of Susquehanna, Pa., died unexpectedly in his home Friday, November 4, 2011 of heart failure, with his beloved wife, Judy Collins, by his side.
He is survived by his wife Judy Collins; four daughters, Arthinalee Nesbitt and husband, Bill; Tammy Simons and husband, Michael; Amy Coulter and husband, Scott; and Susan Sparks and husband, Curt; two sons, Michael Goetter and wife, Nicole, and Joshua Collins; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Adam, and Heather Bixby; Sean DeGraw and Sadie Coulter; Laura and John Simons; and Shannon, Valerie, and Daniel Goetter; three brothers Fred, Bill and Terry Collins, a sister Cora Bouren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also predeceased by his brother Charles Collins.
Born December 17, 1940 to the late Laura Omoo Slocum and Stanford Fay Collins, Edward was a 1958 graduate of Susquehanna High School and served in the United States Army as an engineer. From 1968-1978 he owned and operated AR-TA-MY Construction in Quakertown, Pa., and was a 55-year member of the Construction Union of New York and Pennsylvania states, overseeing high profile projects such as the construction of IBM and SUNY Binghamton as superintendent. A member of the Masons, Canawacta Blue Lodge #360, Susquehanna Royal Arch #276, and St. Andrews Commandery of Knights Templar #27 for 21 years, he served as a Master of the Masons, and a High Priest of the Knights Templar. He was also an active volunteer of DeMolay, the Pennsylvania Youth foundation, and countless other community programs.
Ed had a lighthearted disposition, amazing sense of humor, and an unquenchable thirst for living each day like his last. He’d often take his wife and family on impromptu daytrips simply to enjoy the scenic routes of Pennsylvania and upstate New York, which he did one last time the day of his death. A lover of all things outdoors, Ed was a talented hunter, avid gardener, and took every opportunity to explore the land. One of his greatest pleasures and undeniable talents was cooking, especially for his large family and the community. He was a hardworking man and an active volunteer the community, most recently delivering meals on wheels. His greatest joy and accomplishment in life was being a proud and loving husband, father of six, and grandfather of ten. Nothing mattered more to him than the cherished time he spent with his loved ones.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Susquehanna United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Roloson and Pastor James Rouse officiating.
The burial will be in the Ararat cemetery in Ararat, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Avenue, Susquehanna, Pa., on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Youth Foundation, Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, Pa 17022.
