Greta G. Vilett, 76, of Richmond, KY and formerly of Thompson, PA, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Telford Terrace, Richmond. She was the wife of the late John Vilett, who died July 26, 2001.
Born June 17, 1935 in Richmond, KY, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary Benton Griggs.
She was a secretary with the Federal Bureau of Investigation where she received a commendation from J. Edgar Hoover. After leaving the FBI, she went on to be a property manager for over 20 years in both Ohio and Connecticut and was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by one son: David Matthews and wife Laurie of New Milford, CT; two step sons: Pete Vilett and wife Karen and Dave Vilett and wife Jeanne all of California; two brothers: Bailey Griggs of Richmond, KY and Vernon Griggs of Tennessee; three sisters: Jean Tucker and Stella Cobb both of Richmond, KY and Florence Perkins of Indiana; two grandchildren: Kelsey and Kevin Matthews; three step grandchildren: Nick, Kristin and Sami Vilett.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Barbara Snyder, pastor of the Waverly United Methodist Church, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.

Ruth Louise Resseguie, age 77, of Kingsley passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Aseracare Hospice at the Mid Valley Hospital in Peckville. Her husband William Burton Resseguie died in 2002.
Born April 26, 1934 in Glenwood she was the daughter of the late Howard and Louise Lott Oakley. She was a member of the First Congregational UCC in Harford. She was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother who in later years was overjoyed by any chance to see one of her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener.
She is survived by two daughters Scheryl A. Williams and husband Wayne of Kingsley, Beth Resseguie and friend Rowland Sharp of Hop Bottom; two sons William Burton Resseguie II of Kingsley and Jody Resseguie and wife Eileen of Hallstead; a sister Doris (Pat) Gallan of Canada; a brother Robert Oakley of Harford; a brother-in-law Lynn Resseguie and wife Esther of Michigan; ten grandchildren Michael Megivern, Amy Jones Payne, Ryann Rood Morrison, Richard Resseguie, Carrie Jones, Adam Jones, Ashley Warren, Sara Resseguie, Justin Resseguie, and Sam Resseguie; five great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson with services by Rev. Will Hagenbuch of First Congregational UCC-in Harford. Interment was in the South Harford Cemetery.
