WILLIAM N. (ZINNY) ZINCONE, SR.

William N. (Zinny) Zincone, Sr., 73, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 16, 2010.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Dianne; his seven children, Mary Beth Zincone and John, Kristine McLaughlin and Bill, Nick Zincone and Anna, John Zincone and Joy, Sharon Fry, Sandra Goodsite and William N. Zincone, Jr. and Sara. He was the very proud grandpa of twenty grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Samantha, Paula, Connor, Kasi, Billy, Anthony, Marina, Jack , Sawyer, Dylan, Kelley, Billy, Steven, Travis, Dustin, Gioia, DiMagio and Marchelo; and eight great grandchildren, Loraina, Zoey, Isabella, Haley, Lourdes, Makenzi, Corey and Cayden; he also leaves behind a sister Frances Zincone; his friend of over sixty-five years Irvin Keeter; and numerous family members and friends.

Dad’s work ethic was a source of pride for himself and his family. He was good at what he did and took pride in a job well done. Chances are that if you bought a used car in the Binghamton area, Zinny was the one who made it look like new.

His love of baseball was legendary and he never got over the Dodgers leaving Brooklyn.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s the Evangelist Church in Susquehanna, PA. A reception to honor his memory will be held at the American Legion, Main St. Susquehanna, PA, following the mass.
