Cave Art At B/R Elementary

Once again, Blue Ridge fifth graders reconstructed a prehistoric cave in Ms. Dibble's art class. Students learned about prehistoric cave paintings while creating their own replica paintings. Students began the lesson learning how and why the paintings were made. They learned what was used to make paint and paint brushes. The finished artwork was hung for display on a wooden structure in the elementary school hallway. The cave welcomed visitors to Blue Ridge's open house on Thursday, September 23. Pictured (l-r) above, students from Mrs. Jones’ fifth grade class: Cole Auckland, Austin Beach and David Holtzman.
