RAMON EUGENE “BUNK” TINGLEY

Ramon Eugene “Bunk” Tingley, 76, of New Milford, PA passed away suddenly at his home September 13, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda.

Also surviving are his children, Randolph and Mary Tingley, Scott and Christine Tingley, all of New Milford, PA, Andrew and Gloria Payne, and Edward and Patti Tingley, all of Buckeye, AZ; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three sisters, Rita and Leonard Navickas, Marge Walworth, and Thea and Danny Denny; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bunk was employed with Bendix Corporation for 31 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife in his back yard, remodeling his home and his families' homes, hunting, and being retired.

At Bunk's request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA.

Should friends so desire expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Columbia Hose Company, New Milford, PA 18834.

HERBERT J. BARNES

Herbert Joseph Barnes, 81, of Lewisburg, for the past 6 years, formerly of rural Pottstown, entered into rest at 4:15 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2010, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born November 16, 1928, in the Barnes family farm house in Susquehanna, the oldest of fourteen children of Raymond George and Lillian (DePoe) Barnes. On April 23, 1977, in the Truth Baptist Church, West Salem, Ohio, he married the former Mary A. Mesenhimer, who survives.

Herbert attended the Calvary Baptist Church, Mifflinburg.

He was a 1945 graduate of Susquehanna High School, and attended Penn State University for three years.

Herbert was employed in the public works department for Conrail for 40 years until he retired in 1990.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years, are three sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Misty Barnes of Timberlake, NC, Mark J. and Rebbecca Barnes of Cedar Grove, TN, and James C. and Sarah Barnes of Houston, TX; one daughter, Robin L. Bowersox of New Berlin; two step-sons and one step-daughter-in-law, Rev. Leland and Sandy Hall of Long Island, NY, and Donald E. Hall and his sweetheart Stephanie Pigeon of Spring City, PA; one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Brenda J. and Phil Noland of Ashtabula, OH; 17 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.

On Friday, September 17, a funeral service was conducted at the Calvary Baptist Church, 332 E. Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, with Pastor Shawn A. Mclain, officiating. Burial was in the Chestnut Hills Cemetery, Winfield.
