PHILLIP W. BROWN

Phillip W. Brown, 38, residing in Uniondale, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA, after an illness.

Phillip was born in Susquehanna, PA, the son of Walter and Fern Brown. He is survived by his parents; two wonderful children Phillip and Miranda Brown; two brothers Troy and Anthony Brown; five sisters, Candy Ferrara, Christine Canini, Susan Decaro, Jodie Brown, and Kim Zebrowski; girlfriend Kate Zack; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Phillip was a wonderful, fun loving person full of life. He loved the outdoors. Phillip has a large, loving family and many friends who loved and cherished him. He had many artistic talents in which he excelled, two of which were his exceptional ability at woodcarving and also his expertise with preparing food. Phillip will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

ELAINE M. LECHER

Elaine M. Lecher, 65, of Great Bend, PA went to be with the Lord September 4, 2010 in Wilson Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 42 years Eugene Lecher.

Also surviving are their children, Mark and Kristen Lecher, Reading, Martina and Joseph Kernan, White Haven, and Catherine and James Brenner, Litiz; six grandchildren, Johana, Daniel, Lyla, Addison, Austin, and Zoe; a brother, Howard and Gay Shamro; a sister, Rosemary and Bill Trusky; two sisters-in-law, Diane Frye and Barbara Lecher; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Elaine was a graduate of Temple University. She was employed with Barnes-Kasson Health Center as a registered nurse.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the oncology department and the infusion center of Wilson Hospital.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA. Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA.

Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Oncology Department of Wilson Hospital Johnson City, NY.

DIANE M. GELINEAU

Diane M. Gelineau, 60, of Grand Street, Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.

She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Mary (Weyant) Bransky; son Christopher Gelineau in 1990; and three brothers Harold “Butch” Bransky, Robert Bransky, and Kevin Bransky.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Richard Gelineau; one son Michael Bransky, Susquehanna; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Marc Falco, Jackson, NJ, Michelle and Thomas Studer, Windsor, NY, Sandy and James Theobald, Susquehanna; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Lillian Bransky, New Jersey; 10 grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Ashley, Emma, Sean, Nicole, James, Garrett, Carley and Zoey; several nieces and nephews.

She was a former employee of the Starrucca House in Susquehanna. Diane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (memea`).

She was a member of the St. John’s Church of Susquehanna.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna and 10:00 a.m. at the St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, where a mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. David Cramer. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
