JOAN M. LEWIS

Joan M. Lewis, 70, of Hallstead, PA passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 peacefully in the Bridgewater Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the late Emory and Rose Gergle.

Joan is survived by her children, Terry L. and Michael Rychlewski, Kirkwood, NY, Tom and Suzanne Lewis, Hallstead, PA, and Tim Lewis, Pittsburgh, PA; and four grandchildren, Chad Rychlewski, Megan Rychlewski, Thomas Lewis, and Allison Lewis.

Joan was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was employed with People’s National Bank, working in both the Hallstead and Susquehanna locations. She enjoyed bowling Wednesday afternoon at the Valley Lanes in the Women’s Bowling League. Joan’s greatest joy in life was her three children and her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA. Inurnment will take place in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.

ARTHUR JAMES BRADSTREET

Arthur James (Jim) Bradstreet, age 73, passed away on July 4, 2009 with his family by his side.

Born on March 4, 1936 in Susquehanna, he was the son of the late Edna and Arthur Bradstreet.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 51 years; his seven children Art (Nancy), Rochester, NY; John, Floyd, VA; Tom (Chiara), Mississauga, ON; Anne (Terry), Henderson, NV; Paul (Marina), Henderson, NV; David (Heather), Rochester, NY; Ellen (Patrick), Quail Valley, CA; eight grandchildren, his sister Carol Korsgren and brother-in-law John Casey.

Jim was a graduate of Laurel Hill Academy, Mansfield University, and Scranton University. He spent his working years in teaching and school administration, with his last years in Henderson Nevada.

Over the years his hobbies included hunting, fishing, woodworking, and raising kids!

A memorial mass will be held when his ashes are returned to St. Johns Cemetery at a later date.
