Gibson Charge UMC Welcomes New Pastor The Gibson Charge, including the South Gibson and Gibson United Methodist Churches, will be welcoming their new pastor, Reverend Vickie Maxon, with a special charge service on July 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gibson UMC. The Charge welcomes everyone to a covered dish dinner and fellowship following the service.
The First Baptist Church of New Milford will be hosting a luncheon to say farewell to Pastor David Riley and his family on June 28 beginning at 1:00 p.m. It will be an open house format; visitors are welcome to come and go as they please. There will be a card basket for any memories, reflections or regards visitors want to give to the Rileys. It is hoped that everyone who has been touched by their ministry at First Baptist will attend.
4-H Horseshow At Harford Fairgrounds All riders are welcome to attend the annual 4-H Scholarship Horseshow on Saturday, July 11. Registration begins at 8:30 and the show begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Harford Fairgrounds. This exciting fundraising event for the Susquehanna county 4-H program is open to all adults and youth 8 years and older. Helen Gildein will be judging. The event offers Competitive English, Western, Gymkanna, Open and Walk Trot classes, fun, division championships and more. Food will be available.
