January 8

CLIFFORD TWP. FIRE CO. Ladies Auxiliary Christmas party/meeting, Thursday, January 8, 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. Covered dish. Installation of new officers. New members welcome.

January 8 – 10

ANGEL FOOD MINISTRY orders will be taken Thursday, January 8, 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, January 9, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 10, 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Susquehanna United Methodist Church. Delivery will be Saturday, January 17, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

January 9

SPAGHETTI SUPPER, Friday, January 9, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lawsville Grange Hall.

January 11

BREAKFAST BUFFET, Sunday, January 11, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VFW Post 6223, Great Bend. Sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. Proceeds benefit the Great Bend-Hallstead Volunteer Ambulance Fund.

January 14

Monday, December 29: meatloaf, baked potato s/c, red beets, rye bread, mixed fruit.

Tuesday, December 30: baked fish, oven-brown potatoes, salad, bread, applesauce.

Wednesday, December 31: roast pork, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, ww roll, holiday cupcake.

Thursday, January 1: Closed, New Year’s Day.

Friday, January 2: Manhattan clam chowder, egg salad w/cheese, coleslaw, sandwich roll, fruited jello, oatmeal cookie.

Senior Center Menu January 12 – 16

Monday, January 12: knockwurst, sauerkraut, succotash, whole wheat bread, baked apple.

Tuesday, January 13: apricot nectar, chicken rosemary, noodles, peas & mushrooms, Italian bread, banana, chocolate pudding.

Wednesday, January 14: cranberry juice, beef roll ups, oven roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, whole wheat bread, vanilla cookies.

Thursday, January 15: roast pork with stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, whole wheat bread, cupcake.

Friday, January 16: orange juice, fish Florentine, rice, stewed tomatoes, rye bread, cake.

Community Vespers At St. Paul’s Church

The monthly community vespers service will be held at Historic St. Paul’s Church, Montrose on Sunday, January 11 at 5:00 p.m. Reader will be Cornelia Page, a vocal quintet, Holy Name of Mary Schola will sing two anthems and Sarah Bertsch will be organist for the meditative service. A light meal will follow in the Parish House.
