HEADLINES: S. New Milford Baptist Teens “Work To Earn” Each summer, South New Milford Baptist Church offers teens an opportunity to participate in a program called “work to earn.” Under the program, members of the congregation give the teens various “jobs.” A job could be cutting the grass, cleaning a yard, painting a room, washing a car, washing windows, or just about anything else you can think of. Church members, Cindy Cordner and Randy Garnett worked together to coordinate the program. Sarah and Samantha Smith were the two young ladies who responded to a call from Miss Kathleen’s Pre-K Readiness for hands to help with butterfly curriculum week. And help they did, with circle time, snacks, hiking, outdoor play, painting giant butterflies, lunch time, book reading, hugging, rocking, singing, dancing, blowing bubbles and releasing butterflies from a butterfly farm. As you can see by the photo, a great time was had by all! Pictured (l-r) are Sam, Elizabeth, Jeanette, Joseph, Lexi, Sarah and Bradley.
