BRIANNA L. DOUCETTE Brianna L. Doucette, 12, Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008 after an accident. She is survived by her loving parents, Kimberly Thompson and Randy Douglas, Susquehanna; maternal grandfather, John Thompson; grandmother, Marcella Rye; great-grandparents, Kenneth and Gertrude Potts; paternal grandparents, James and Maxine Douglas; three brothers, Andrew DeSesso, Susquehanna, Caleb Douglas, Florida, Cody Douglas, Florida; two sisters, Jessica and Rob Wagner, Hamilton, New Jersey, Jude Douglas, Florida; two nephews, Dylan and Tyler Wagner. The funeral service was held on Saturday, February 23, at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, with Rev. Fred Johnson officiating. A memorial fund has been established at Peoples National Bank, 222 Erie Blvd., Susquehanna, PA 18847. ARTHUR TINGLEY EMPET Arthur T. Empet, Kingsley, PA, died February 17, 2008, at home. His wife, Jane Rhodes Empet, died February 14, 2005. They were married 64 years. Born January 11, 1922 in Harford Township, son of the late Guy and Philena Tingley Empet, he was a graduate of Harford High School and a lifelong member of the West Lenox Baptist Church. Owner of Empet Farms Registered Holsteins until his retirement in 1986, he was also a substitute industrial arts teacher in most of the school districts in Susquehanna County. He was an avid reader, with diverse hobbies of photography and flying, and more recently, woodworking, baking and cooking. He was a member of the Harford Historical Society, the Harford Agricultural Society and the Harford Grange. Surviving are four sons: Nelvin and wife Carol, Spencer and wife Charlotte, Dale and wife Peggy, Van and companion Brenda Sloat, all of Kingsley; two daughters, Sara and husband Reverend Dan Gilbert, Pemberton, NJ, Susan and husband Dale Benning, Nehawken, NE; two sisters, Margery Rhodes, Kingsley, Esther Darrow, Hallstead; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on Friday at at the West Lenox Baptist Church, with his son-in-law, Reverend Dan Gilbert officiating. Interment, Tower Cemetery, West Lenox at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Lenox Baptist Church, Kingsley, PA 18826; or the Harford Historical Society, Harford, PA 18823.
