"Restaurant Days" For United Way

United Way of Susquehanna County will be holding its first annual “Restaurant Days” on Thursday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 127. This initiative was designed to offer something special to restaurant guests; a great meal, and the opportunity to contribute to United Way of Susquehanna County. Each participating restaurant will host its own individual benefit to help raise money for the United Way of Susquehanna County by donating a percentage of their net proceeds to United Way’s 2007-2008 Campaign. Restaurants in Hallstead, Kingsley, New Milford, Montrose, Susquehanna and Union Dale are participating in this event.

On December 6, participating restaurants include: Dobb’s Country Kitchen, Maloney’s Restaurant, Original Italian Restaurant, PJ O’hare’s Irish Family Restaurant, and Queen of Hearts.

On December 12, restaurants participating are: Bingham’s Family Restaurant, Dobb’s Country Kitchen, Green Gables, Original Italian Restaurant, PJ O’hare’s Irish Family Restaurant, Summit Tea Room, Stone Bridge Inn and Restaurant, and The Montrose House.

Amy Steinberg, Executive Assistant and Coordinator of this event stated, “We are excited that local restaurants are giving back to our community. Through this event, when you dine out at participating restaurants, you're not only getting a great meal, but you will help others. The goal is to raise money for United Way, as well as demonstrate to customers the caring capacity of their favorite restaurants.”

For more information call the United Way at (570) 278-3868.
