Tuesday, July 3: vegetable lasagna, cooked carrots, rye bread, fresh banana, cranberry juice.

Wednesday, July 4: Centers closed; Independence Day.

Thursday, July 5: shell pasta and meatballs, tossed salad, whole wheat bread, tropical fruit.

Friday, July 6: lemon pepper cod, mixed vegetables, vegetable rice pilaf, honey wheat bread, Boston cream pie or sugar free chocolate pudding.

Browndale Fire Co. Sponsors Carnival

The Browndale Fire Company invites the public to its second annual carnival, July 17 through 21 at the Browndale Baseball Field, Route 247, 620 Marion Street, Browndale.

Tuesday, July 17 will be a “wrist band” night, where children may ride all the rides for one price. On Wednesday, July 18, the fire company will host a parade. Anyone interested in participating in the parade should contact Ron Richards at 785-9540. Thursday, July 19 will be a second “wrist band” evening, and on Saturday, July 21, the Vandling and Browndale Fire Companies will host a car show, 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The carnival rides will start each night at 6:30. The popular and successful Chinese auction, sponsored by the Ladies of the Browndale Fire Company will again feature donations from local area businesses. To donate, contact Browndale Fire Company member, Mel Sherry at 785-9256. Food vendors are welcome, contact President Doyle at 499-4908 for more information.
