MEMORIAL SERVICE

ELAINE M. STONE

A memorial service for Elaine M. Stone (Peggy) will be held at the American Legion Veterans’ Memorial Park at Post 357 in Hallstead, PA at 12:00 p.m. on September 16, 2006.

CORA I. MacGEORGE

Cora I. MacGeorge, 81, of Rush Township, PA passed away Friday, September 1, 2006 at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, PA. Born February 23, 1925 in Gibson Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Carr) Tripp.

She worked for Deuel’s, the Town House and Stables as a cook for many years. She loved to crochet, cook and bake pies.

Survivors include her husband, Arden L. MacGeorge, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph L. Sterling and Susan, New Milford, PA, Gary G. and Terry Sterling, South Montrose, PA, Richard C. Sterling, Minnesota, Terry Lee and Margene Sterling, Archbald, PA; step daughters and step sons-in-law, Debbie L. and John Spickerman, Hop Bottom, PA, Melanie A. and James Hanjaras, Springville, PA; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Arden L. and Karen Mac George, Jr., Laceyville, PA, Martin D. and Rebecca Mac George, New Milford, PA; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Flora B. Greogary, Blossburg, PA; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, William L. Sterling in 2006; and four brothers.

Services will be Wednesday, September 6, 2:00 p.m. at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., a Selected Independent Funeral Home, 74 Church Street, Montrose, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
