HEADLINES: Air Force Cadet Victoria A. Ross has completed the basic free-fall parachute jump course and earned jump wings at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. The course is the only jump program in the world where students perform solo free-falls on their first jump. It includes 28 hours of rigorous training, emphasizing basic techniques to achieve stability in free-fall, emergency procedures, and air awareness. Graduates must complete five 10-second delay free-fall jumps from 4,500 feet above ground level. Victoria is the daughter of Bruce and Lisa Ross , Renovo, PA, and granddaughter of Henry and Patricia Dube, Montrose, PA. She is a 2005 graduate of Bucktail Area Junior-Senior High School, Renovo.
