Historical Society Update The Susquehanna Depot Area Historical Society will be meeting Thursday, September 21 at 7 p.m. in the boro building in Susquehanna. You should not have missed Bud Kaiser’s presentation on the history of bicycles. He had an old-fashioned high-wheeled bicycle as well as visuals. We are still looking for a suitable home for our museum to display our goods; a building with a rainproof roof, parking, and handicapped facilities. Our goods are in a secure location for the time being.
The Susquehanna County Commissioners announce the Courthouse will be closed on Monday, September 4 in observance of Labor Day. All court related offices will be available.
Holy Name Of Mary Eucharistic Adoration On Friday, September 1, monthly Eucharistic Adoration will begin after the 12:10 p.m. Mass and conclude with Mass at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Name of Mary Parish, Montrose. A prayer service with the Men of the Sacred Heart and Benediction will follow the evening Mass. Father Gerry Safko serves as Pastor of Holy Name of Mary Church.
