Susky Elementary Students Of the Month

Mr. Robert Keyes, Principal of Susquehanna Community Elementary School, announced the "Students of the Month" for October, 2005.

SCHS Awarded Collection Grant

Mr. Lisowski, Susquehanna Community High School Principal, is pleased to announce that the Library received a $5,000 grant for collection development. pic.

Pictured (l-r) are Julia Wallace and Kim Fortune, enjoying new books bought with Dollar General Literacy Grant proceeds.

The grant was awarded by The Dollar General Literacy Foundation, Goodlettsville, TN. It was obtained through the efforts of the High School Librarian, Mr. Michael Reavey.

Grant proceeds will be used to add high interest fiction books to the Library’s collection.

Local Students Are Student Teaching

Mansfield, PA – Several local students are student teaching during the fall, 2005 semester at Mansfield University.

Rachel (Ackley) Hobbs is student teaching at Blossburg and Liberty Elementary Schools. Hobbs, an elementary education major, is the wife of Isaac Hobbs of Elmira St., Mansfield, PA. she is a 2001 graduate of Susquehanna Community High School.

Elizabeth Engel is student teaching at Troy Elementary Center East and Liberty Elementary Schools. Engle, an elementary/early childhood education major, is the daughter of Carol and Tony Engle of RR 3, Montrose, PA. She is a 2000 graduate of Montrose High School.

Michaela (Babuka) Steele is student teaching at Northeast Bradford and J. Andrew Morrow Elementary Schools. Steele, an elementary education major, is the wife of David Steele, RR 6, Montrose, PA. she is a 1994 graduate of Montrose Area Schools.
