Is This How We Play The Game? I was always told it is how you play the game that puts together a winning team. The girls at Blue Ridge worked long hard hours to get into the State play offs. From the article I read in The Scranton Times dated June 10 the Blue Ridge High School team was scouted at their first round game which they won. Only to have it stolen from them by a greedy assistant coach. I quote a Minersville High School player Jamie Kuehn," He always picks up the signs. He calls our name when the changeup is coming." You might scout a team to look for its weak points. A team that uses another team’s signals for its own benefit is teaching its players nothing. I find this act very unethical and not something I would want my coaches to do. This is not the major leagues and this assistant coach of the opposing Minersville High School team should be called to task before his peers in the league. Do we need to hire professional coaches and make the game affordable to only the rich schools? Let it be a sport. Sincerely, Alan Aronowitz New Milford, PA
