BETTY LOU ZELEWITZ Betty Lou Zelewitz, 71, New Milford, PA, passed away at home on May 23, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1991. She was also predeceased by a sister, Virginia Ward. Surviving are her children, Patricia Ash, Ringo, NJ, Mary and Bruce Austra, Issaquah, WA, Frank Zelewitz, New Milford, Betty and John Whitney, Susquehanna, PA, Estelle and Randy Darling, Boca Raton, FL; three sisters, Mary Portinova, Boynton Beach, FL, Shirley Tolentino, Kieansburg, NJ, Mable Condolupo, Avenel, NJ; a brother, Oscar Poteet, NJ; eight grandchildren, Peter, Ashley and Nicole Whitney, Jessie Erickson, Kyle and Jennifer Darling, Patrick Maglione, Alison Poerner; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, on Thursday, May 26 with Pastor Earl F. Grabey officiating. ALLAN CHARLES POTTER Allan Charles Potter, 51, Thompson, PA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. He was predeceased by his father, Girton Potter and sister, Connie Whitney. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Girton (Frances) Potter, Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Donald Whitney, Hampton, VA; brother-in-law, Leon Whitney, Springhill, FL; several nieces and nephews. Allan was a member of the North Jackson United Methodist Church; VFW of Great Bend; VFW of Lenox; Canawacta Masonic Lodge of Susquehanna; Canawacta Rod and Gun Club. Allan was a dairy farmer and an avid hunter and trap shooter. A memorial service was held on Friday, May 27 at the North Jackson United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kenneth Bitler officiating. Burial, North Jackson Cemetery, North Jackson, PA.
