Susky District Sets Parents' Academies

As part of the implementation of the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) grant, the Susquehanna Community School District will be sponsoring a series of informational seminars for parents. These workshops, called Parents’ Academies, will be held each month on the third Tuesday or Wednesday, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. While some topics are geared towards the parents of elementary students and some are more pertinent to the parents of high school students, all district parents are welcome to attend any of the sessions. If you have any questions or concerns in regard to these academies, contact your child’s building principal.

Workshops scheduled are as follows: September 14, District Report Card; October 19, Technology – EETT Grant; November 17, Homework and Organization Skills; December 15, Childhood Obesity; January 18, PSSA/SAT Preparation; February 15, Discipline and Setting Limits; March 15, Improving Literacy; April 19, Getting Ready for College; May 17, Preventing Summer Regression.

The workshops in September, November, January, March and April will be held in the high school auditorium. All others will be held in the elementary LGI room.
