Youth Pastor At Thompson Baptist

Pastor Mark Wyman is pleased to announce that Shannon Cooper of Indiana and recent graduate of Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA, has begun his Youth Ministry Internship Summer Program at Thompson Baptist Church.

Twenty-three year old Shannon has been meeting with area teenagers, for Bible Studies, Thursday evenings at 7:00 in the church's Fellowship Hall.

Already he has involved them in community services; they installed an air conditioner for a widow in town, cleaned up a lawn and are prepared to do more - just let him know, he said !

In addition Shannon is training the young people to use puppets effectively. They will debut at TBC's Vacation Bible School, July 26 through the 30. It'll be a don't miss opportunity for all the kids (and adults) in town to see them perform!

In June, TBC's Youth Minister will be taking a group of the young people to the Teen Leadership Camp that will be held on the Clark Summit campus of Baptist Bible College and Seminary.

This dedicated young man comes with an extensive amount of experience for his 23 years. Before coming to Thompson he worked very successfully with a youth group out in Perry, Ohio; he served as a short term missionary in the Dominican Republic; he was involved in two wilderness trips into Canada with BBC&S; and has counseled at Christian Camps for several summers.

In addition to his responsibilities with the teens, Shannon will be preaching in the Sunday evening services for the month of June. All are invited to hear this remarkable young man share his thoughts from the Word of God.

For more information regarding the teen program, church activities and schedules please call Pastor Wyman at 727-2461 or 727-2225.
