HEADLINES: Small Town Mission Marks Anniversary The Great Bend Hallstead Lutheran Church has reason to celebrate these days. The Mission Church will be having its 2 year anniversary very soon and things are beginning to heat up. Led by Pastor Kim Bode, the Church had its first Baptism a couple of weeks ago, welcoming David Stoss into the LCMS Family. It was standing room only at the small Church but that is up for change as well. Beginning March 1st GBH Lutheran will be moving to its new home. Although only next door to its current location, the benefits are numerous. The floor plan is better suited to worship especially with the increased numbers they are experiencing. The big plus is now they will have the ability to better serve the community and have expanded youth opportunities. "We hope to have renovations done in time for Easter Celebration," states Vic Peckenschneider. To lead up to this Glorious Celebration, the Church will have its second annual clam chowder sale during Lent to help offset renovation costs. Keep the Church in your prayers and if you feel the need to invest a little sweat equity in helping with the repairs or donating materials, they will keep the light on for you. Vic can be reached at (570) 879-5154.
