Adult Classes At Mt. View School

The Mountain View School District will once again be offering an adult education program during the fall of 2003. The classes will be offered on different nights throughout each week so that more people can participate in the programs.

To register for one or more class, or more information, call Mrs. Joy Marcy at 434-2180 ext. 413 on any school day between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Registration must take place before attending any class. Following are the classes offered: volleyball, basketball, watercolor painting, basketry/chair caning.

Rotary Exchange Students Active

Summer was a time of arrival and departure for Montrose Rotary Youth Exchange students. Five of these students are pictured above (l-r) and described as follows: Silvio Soubhia from Brazil began senior year classes at Montrose High School; Heather Clarke departed Elk Lake to study in France; Anika Beckman returned to Germany after a year at Elk Lake; Tim Jayne graduated from Elk Lake following his year of studies in Germany; Paul Barnes traveled from Elk Lake to Ecuador for a year stay.

An assembly will be held on October 8, at both Elk Lake and Montrose High Schools where students can find out about Youth Exchange opportunities for 2004. You can contact Tom Kurosky, at 278–3063 with questions.
