JACK R. HALEY

Jack Haley, 55, Susquehanna, PA, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA, after an illness. Jack was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Dell (Simonetti) Haley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Tina (Herbert) Haley; two sons and daughter-in-law, Chad and Crissie Haley, Susquehanna, Joseph Haley, Alexandria, VA; close family friend, David Storey, Albany, NY; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lou and Robert Rood, Sr., Hallstead, PA, Pamela and James Tait, Endwell, NY; mother- and father-in-law, William and Cordelia Herbert, New Milford, PA; three grandchildren, Evan, Benjamin and Rebecca; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, along with nieces and nephews.

Jack graduated from the Laurel Hill Academy in 1970 and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked maintenance at the Turnpike Terrace for the Susquehanna County Housing Authority. Jack was also a  member of the American Legion Post 945 and St. John’s Church.

A memorial service was held at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, on Monday, October with Rev. John King officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.

ERIC JOSEPH MARSHALL

Eric Joseph Marshall, 44, Susquehanna, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 19, at home.

He is the son of Rheba (Marshall) Paoletti and the late Joseph F. Marshall, Jr.

Eric is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Frank Paoletti Endwell, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Daron Coombs, White Plains, MD; brother and sister-in-law, David and Susan Marshall, Tampa, FL; nephews, Jonathan, Christian, Austin and Joseph; a niece, Amanda; special friend, Cheryl DeVincenzi; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Eric was a lifelong resident of Susquehanna. Upon graduating from Susquehanna Community High School, he attended automotive technical school. He was a longtime employee of Norbord Industries, Deposit, NY. Eric was an avid hunter and spent countless hours hunting and fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He always had a story to tell, whether it be the big one that pulled him out of the boat, or the 16-pointer he chased down with his bare hands. He always had a knack for making you laugh. Eric had a good heart and was always willing to help others. Eric was a loving son, brother, uncle and nephew. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will he held on Wednesday, October, 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, with the Rev. Albert Leonard officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Eric Marshall Fund, c/o Peoples National Bank, Erie Blvd., Susquehanna, PA 18847, due to Eric’s numerous medical expenses.

JAMES E. HONEYCHUCK

Jim Honeychuck, 80, Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007. He was born in Kent, Ohio but resided in Susquehanna since he was a child.

He is predeceased by his parents, Mary Ludick and Edward L. Honeychuck, and by his sister, Clara Bennett.

He is survived by his brother, Edward J. Honeychuck of Grifton, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jim served his country with the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion, Post 86.

Jim was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt.

Arrangements are being made by Hennessey’s Funeral Home. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.
