Obituaries

DONALD EDWARD SHERROD

Donald Edward Sherrod, 65, Oakland, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at home after an illness.

He was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, the son of the late Edgar and Edna (Anglin) Sherrod.

He was predeceased by one sister, Ebby Hatch.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Deloris (Clark) Sherrod; two sons, Richard Sherrod and Scott Sherrod; one daughter, Kimberly Sherrod-Stith; one brother, Charles Sherrod; two sisters, Jean Aschmeyer and Doris Rempp; eight grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed by Dalton Trucking in California before his retirement. After his retirement two and a half years ago, he moved from Riverside, California to Oakland, Pennsylvania.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna with Rev. John Zimmerman officiating.

DEAN W. PULLEN

Dean W. Pullen, 46, of Montrose, PA died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at his residence. Born May 29, 1961 in Bristol, PA, he was the son of Henry W. and Evelyn (Metz) Pullen.

A graduate of Pennsbury High School, he was employed by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Survivors include parents, Henry W. and Evelyn Pullen, Great Bend, PA; son, Jake C. Pullen, at home; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bette Jean and Larry Kyle, Harleysville, PA, Sandra Lee and Charles Kinsey, Perkasie, PA; brother and sister-in-law, Kirk W. Pullen and Cassie Strohl, Montrose, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Services were held at the Bartron - Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, PA.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a Trust Fund for his son Jake, at Peoples Bank, Hallstead Plaza Branch, P.O. Box A, Hallstead, PA 18822.
