Blue Ridge Marching Raiders Update

The Blue Ridge Marching Raiders were selected to participate in the WNEP Santa Parade on Saturday, November 18, one of five bands picked from North-Eastern PA to perform on this televised event. It was aired on WNEP and will be rebroadcast throughout the holiday season. The Raider Band is comprised of 100 students in grades 9 – 12 at Blue Ridge High School, New Milford, PA. The band will present its Fall Review on December 20 in the Blue Ridge Theatre, starting at 7:30 p.m. The band is preparing for its March trip to the Orlando, Florida area where it will be performing at SeaWorld and Universal Studios.

Elk Lake High School Students Of The Month

Kenneth F. Cuomo, Ed.D., Elk Lake High School Principal, is pleased to announce the following students who were selected as October, 2006 “Students of the Month.”

Students of the month are selected by nominations of any student in grades 10 – 12 by a teacher for outstanding achievement. The student must show individual effort, community and school wide effort, as well as effort in the classroom.

Other important criteria includes a showing of personal growth, skill development, dedication, leadership, academic growth and improvement, school service and community service.
