Free Screenings For Child Development

As you watch your child grow, you notice when he or she rolls over, holds a spoon or walks and talks. You may also see that he or she is growing or developing differently than a cousin, a friend’s child or a sibling. If you are wondering about your child’s development, call for a free screening.

Wednesday, November 15, representatives from Tri-County Human Services Early Intervention and Northeastern Educational Early Intervention will provide screenings at the Susquehanna County CARES Family Resource Center. The center is located inside the First Presbyterian Church, 107 Pine Street, Hallstead. Families with children aged birth to three are encouraged to take advantage of this free service.

While there is no cost to participate, you must schedule an appointment. Screenings will begin at 9:00 a.m. and take about a half hour to complete.

To schedule a screening, call Susquehanna County CARES (Childcare, Agencies, Resources and Educational Services) at (570) 879-8766.
