Obituaries

SUSAN D. WHEELER

Susan D. Wheeler, 44, Susquehanna, PA, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 5, 2006 after an illness.

Susan was predeceased by her father, Robert E. Barton; and by her brother, James Barton.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jeffery H. Wheeler, Susquehanna; mother, Beatrice Welch Barton, Susquehanna; brother, Eugene Barton, Susquehanna; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Butch Napolitano, Oakland, PA; several loving nieces and nephews.

Susan was a wonderful and loving wife to her husband Jeff for 29 years. She was a very creative housewife as well as a caregiver for both her mother and father. She was a member of the Stevens Point United Methodist Church. Susan was extremely talented in photography, and had a special love for nature and weddings. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

There will be a private memorial service held by the family at their convenience.

LARRY JAMES PHILLIPS

Larry James Phillips, 61, Phillips Hollow, Mooresville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at his residence.

Born February 23, 1945, in Susquehanna, PA, he was a son of the late Murvington Willard Phillips and Ruth Slocum Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a professional truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Steplevitch Phillips, whom he married September 30, 2000; children, Larry James Phillips, Jr., Susquehanna, PA, Wayne M. Phillips, Cleveland, NC, Donna Fritz, and Teresa “Teri” Keplinger, both of China Grove, NC; brothers, Willard “Bill” Phillips, Phoenix, AZ, and Donald Phillips, New London, NC; sisters, Carole Phillips, Vestal, NY, and Joyce Roe, Binghamton, NY; grandchildren, Rhonda, Brett, Doug, Grayson, Ben, Caleb, Daniel, Austin and Connor.

A memorial service was held at 11 Monday, October 9, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville.

Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the family of Mr. Phillips.
