Melanie Loomis Makes Penn State Dean's List

Melanie Loomis, a freshman at Penn State University at University Park, State College, PA has achieved the Dean's List for the Spring, 2006 term. Melanie is enrolled in the College of Communication and intends to pursue a career in television broadcasting. She worked as a summer intern for the Penn State Public Broadcasting station and will be attending Penn State this fall as a sophomore. She will continue to work for the Public Broadcasting Station and as a reporter for the Collegian, Penn State's campus newspaper.

Melanie is the daughter of Jeff and Jan Loomis, Montrose; the granddaughter of Irving and Jean Loomis, Montrose; and the granddaughter of the late Alex and Marjorie Gawron, Susquehanna.

Justin Herbert Named To F & M Dean’s List

Justin William Herbert, New Milford, PA, a first-year student at Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA, was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring, 2006 semester. A student earns Dean’s List recognition for achieving a 3.25 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Alec Mazikewich Is Outstanding Teacher

The National Honor Roll is pleased to announce that Alec W. Mazikewich of Susquehanna, PA has been accepted as a member of NHR’s Outstanding American Teachers for 2005/2006.

NHR’s Outstanding American Teachers recognizes educators who have made a difference in their communities. Alec, who teaches Earth Science at Blue Ridge High School, will appear in the NHR Outstanding American Teachers 2005/2006 Commemorative Edition.
