SHEILA A. PLEVINSKY

Sheila A. Plevinsky, 72, New Milford, PA, passed away May 19, 2006 at Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. She was predeceased by her parents, Howard Sumner and Leanna Cudo, and by her sister, Sharon Decker.

Sheila is survived by four children and their spouses, Joseph and Mary Plevinsky, Maine, NY, Martin and Claudia Plevinsky, Harrisburg, PA, Katherine and Daniel Wages, New Milford, PA, Karen and Robert Shaver, Durham, NC; a brother, Gary Sumner, North Augusta, SC; her grandchildren, Damon, Cassandra, Brooke, Christopher, Frederick, Mitchell, and Kelsey; and by several cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and by a very special friend, Jacqueline Castle.

Sheila was a member of the New Milford Methodist Church and the Louise Bache BPW. She sold real estate and served on the New Milford Zoning Board. For 20 years she was an employee at the New Milford Post Office. She enjoyed calligraphy and stamp collecting. Because Sheila was a giving person who reached out to others with loving care in their times of need, she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She loved to sing and play the piano and organ. She will be missed by the Heart Lake Methodist Church where she played the organ. She loved her family and especially enjoyed hugging her grandchildren and attending their activities. A special thank you to Dr. B. Patel and the entire staff of Barnes-Kasson Hospital for their excellent care and also to her favorite chemo nurses, Kathy Woodmansee, Carol Tingley, and Debbie Wood.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Community Church, New Milford, PA, Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Joyce Allen officiating. Interment will be in New Milford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Columbia Hose Company, P.O. Box 599, New Milford, PA 18834.

Arrangements were made by the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead.
