GEORGE L. RIGO

George L. Rigo, 68, Lanesboro, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 15, 2006, at home.

He was born in Johnson City, NY, the son of the late George and Margaret (Haggerty) Rigo. He was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa Ann Rigo in 1995; a brother, Francis Rigo; a sister, Helen Hurbun.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Adrienne (Chianese) Rigo; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Barbara Rigo; one daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Brian Melick; three sisters, Doris Card, Margaret Wage, MaryAnn Davis; four grandchildren, Alexander Rigo, Keria Rigo, Rylee Melick, Sarah Melick; brother-in-law, Ron Hurban; sister-in-law, Betty Rigo; many nieces and nephews.

George was a member of St. John’s Church, Susquehanna and a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Columbia Mutual of Vestal for the past 13 years and before this was employed at Ozalid. George enjoyed working in his yard and on his fountain but loved being with his grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 9:30 a.m. at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna and at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Robert Simon.

Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna.
