Obituaries

EDNA (TODD) RYAN

Edna (Todd) Ryan, 96, Brick, NJ, formerly of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2006.

Beloved wife of the late Francis Ryan (1977).

Loving mother of Frank and the late Gerard Ryan (2005).

Grandmother of Frank, Leslie, and Sandra.

Edna was a 1933 graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Jersey City, NJ. She then worked as a Registered Nurse there for 25 years. She last worked for Drs. Rizzi and Hendrickson in Point Pleasant, NJ for 15 years before retiring many years ago. She was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick, NJ.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 8 a.m. from Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick, NJ, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick, NJ. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.

PRESTON R. BICKINGS

Preston R. Bickings, 83, Kingsley, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose, PA. He was born in Conshohocken, PA to the late Francis Bickings and Helen (Bixler) Groce and her husband William. His wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Uhl) Bickings, survives.

Preston was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, a World War II Army veteran who served in the Pacific, and a member of the Teamsters Local 470 Union.

Survived by his many loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; many nieces and nephews.

Preston was predeceased by his son, Keith Bickings.

A Funeral Service was held Saturday, January 21, at the Kingsley United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Harford Township, PA.

Memorial donations in Preston’s name can be made to the Meadow View Senior Living Center, R.R. # 4 Box 4000, Montrose, PA 18801.
