HEADLINES: Conservation District Envirothon Winners The Susquehanna County Conservation District is elated at the success of the 2005 Susquehanna County Envirothon competition. Twenty teams and over 100 students from Susquehanna County schools participated in the event. The Mountain View Mesa morphs were the champions of the 2005 Susquehanna County Envirothon, held May 4 at Camp Archibald. The Envirothon gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of environmental issues. Students work together as a team in a thirty minute per station format and are challenged in the areas of aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a current environmental issue, which was natural resource management and urban development. Upon completion of testing, all attending enjoyed group interaction and lunch sponsored by Susquehanna County Conservation District.
