HEADLINES: Once again, the congregation of United Methodist Community Church brought the Easter resurrection to their Living Cross for the community and the world to see. For the third year, they have moved the closing of their Easter morning celebration to the front lawn of the church on Main Street in Great Bend. There, they have erected a permanent, fourteen-foot cross that on Easter Sunday comes alive as each member of the congregation places a variety of live flowers on the cross and thus shares their celebration of a living Christ with all who pass by.
