RICHARD J. WATT, JR.

Richard "Buddy" J. Watt, Jr., 20, Oakland, PA, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2004.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Jeanlouis Louissaint; father, Richard J. Watt, Sr.; foster father, Jeff Branning; brother, Kyle Watt; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Madeline Watt; maternal grandmother, Louise Klim; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Richard and Michelene Klim; great-grandfather, Ed Klim; great-grandmother, Hazel Singer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Richard attended Mansfield University for the last three semesters and majored in Communications. While at Mansfield he managed and worked at the university radio station and monthly newsletter. In 2001, he joined the Army Reserve and served in the Ashley, PA Unit in hospital administration. He was a graduate of the Susquehanna Community High School Class of 2002 and was class vice president. He was active in the high school band, yearbook committee, debate team, student council, football letterman, track and field, wrestling, and was in Who’s Who Among American High School Students for the last three years. He was a member of the Mountain Laurel Chapter of the DeMolay. While growing up in Susquehanna, he was active in the Tri-Boro Little League, Eagle Pee Wee Football and Junior Bowling. He enjoyed fishing and archery, hunting, and tournament competition.

Funeral services were held on May 20, from Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, with Pastor Debbie VanDermark-Dailey officiating. Burial, Maplewood Cemetery.
