MARION MARY ROCHE MARVIN

Marion Mary Roche Marvin, 78, Jackson Township, Susquehanna, PA was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Pete and Maria Roche, Pittston, PA. Her husband, Floyd C. Marvin, Sr., predeceased her.

Marion is survived by her children, Floyd and wife Robin, Lloyd, Jerry and Debra Marvin; a brother, Ed Roche and Rose Healy; grandchildren, Jessica, Floyd II, William, Kerri Ann, Jason and wife Danielle, Robert, Casey and Jared; special friends, Alberta Marvin and Robert Frantz.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Marion enjoyed life’s simple pleasures.

A funeral service was held at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, on January 30, with Blaine Detwiler officiating. Interment will be in North Jackson Cemetery at a later date.

Special thanks to Dr. DeWitt and the caring staff at Barnes-Kasson Hospital.

MARJORIE L. STONE

Marjorie L. Stone, 83, Thompson, PA, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2004, at Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett Stone and grandson, Douglas Hines.

She was born in Gelatt, PA, the daughter of the late Howard and Lynette (Brown) Pickering.

She is survived by her daughter, Delores Penn; grandson, Wayne Hines and family; grandson, Martin Hines and family; three sisters, Betty Morris, Wanda Jones, Joan Potter; two brothers, Morris Pickering, Hollis Pickering; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.

Marjorie was a member of the Thompson United Methodist Church, Thompson, PA, and a member of the Easter Star and Rebekah Lodge. She lived in Thompson until retiring to Crescent City, FL with her husband, Everett in 1980. Marjorie will be missed by her family, who knew her as "Gram."

The funeral service was held on February 2, at the Thompson Methodist Church, with the Rev. Brian Lucas officiating. Burial will be in the Ararat Cemetery, Ararat, PA.
