MICHAEL WAYNE PALUZZI

Michael Wayne Paluzzi, 20, Seneca, SC, died Monday, October 27, 2003. He was the son of Dr. Michael W. and Melinda Sue Paluzzi of Seneca.

Mr. Paluzzi was a junior at Clemson University, a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity where he served as vice president, and was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his parents; sister, Nicole Lynne Paluzzi, at home; grandparents, Wayne and Anne Adams, Harford, PA; uncles and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Adams, Naples, Florida, Mr. and Mrs. John Paluzzi, Dalton, PA.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gesualdo "Joe" Paluzzi.

Services were held October 30, at St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to any Carolina First Bank in a directed scholarship fund for Delta Sigma Pi in memory of Michael Wayne Paluzzi, to account No. 8101605534.

Arrangements were made by Seneca Mortuary.

JOHN D. BUCKLEY

John D. Buckley, 89, Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2003, at Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, after an illness.

He was born in Susquehanna, the son of the late Harry and Julia (Hanrahan) Buckley.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Emily E. Buckley, in 1994.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Buckley, Susquehanna; a special friend, Darla McGrath; several cousins.

John was retired from the Conrail Railroad after 45 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II. He was a member of St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #794, Susquehanna.

Funeral serviced were held on Monday, November 10, at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, and from St. John’s Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was offered by the Rev. John King. Burial, St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna.

MARION L. SLOCUM

Marion L. Slocum, 76, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2003.

She was predeceased by one brother, Fred Broad.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Slocum; and their children, Harry T. Shafer, Jr., Douglas Slocum, Sandra Jones, Carole Slocum, Victoria Katchuk, April Johnson and their spouses; two brothers, Winfield Broad, Ronald Broad and their wives; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Marion was a member of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary and a certified Proofreader for the blind with the Library of Congress.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 12:00 p.m. at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Avenue, Susquehanna, with the Rev. Kenneth Bitler officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, PA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
