MARY LOU LEONARD-DOWNIN

Mary Lou Leonard–Downin, 79, passed away in San Diego on Tuesday, October 21, 2003.

A native of Susquehanna, Mary Lou Leonard worked for many years as a payroll supervisor for non-profit organizations. She lived in Phoenix, AZ until the death of her husband, Donald, three years ago, and then moved to San Diego.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Ham, San Diego; and one son, Donald E. Downin, Arizona. She also leaves ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was offered Friday, October 24, 2003 at Sacred Heart Church, Ocean Beach, CA with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, San Diego.

GLADYS SWANSON

Gladys Swanson, 81, Susquehanna, passed away Friday, October 24, 2003 at Barnes-Kasson Hospital SNF, Susquehanna.

She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Swanson, in 1980.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond and Diana Swanson, Robert Swanson; one daughter, Patricia Swanson; one brother, William Phelps; one sister-in-law, Rena Rood; special relatives and friends, Cathy Barber, Dee Dee DeSerio, Helen Christianson, Debbie and Howard Hess; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. John’s Church, Susquehanna.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. Robert Simon. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna.

The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
