HEADLINES: Scholarship
Awarded From Gardeners Victoria Marlowe of Friendsville, PA and her mother were guests of The Garden Club of Montrose on July 14. The club enjoyed a bountiful covered dish luncheon for the annual picnic meeting that was held at Salt Springs State Park. Scholarship Chairman Shirley Andre presented Victoria, a 2003 graduate of Montrose Area High School, with an award given to a student pursuing a career in environmental sciences. She will be attending Broome Community College this fall with interests in Landscape Design and Botanical Writing. Her interests in gardening, writing and art will help in her endeavors for the future.
Victoria Marlowe receives garden club scholarship. The scholarship award is made possible with a gift to the garden club by the family of the late Jean Leslie Rose.
