Mt. View M/S FBLA Soars At Conference

Mountain View Middle School students attended the recent Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Region 27 Leadership Conference hosted at Mountain View. They competed in a variety of events and attended leadership workshops on Job Interviews, Public Speaking, Shark Tank and Business Etiquette.

Mountain View second place finishes were: Ireland Shea, Business Etiquette; Haydn Barto, Career Research; Seth Piasecki, Marketing Concepts; Team of Brook Danysh and Jillian Pliska, Marketing Mix Challenge.

Mountain View first place finishes were: Autumn Holgate, Career Exploration; Addison Millard, Digital Citizenship; Morgan Pliska, Video Game Challenge; Cody Heinold, Internet Concepts; Logan Werkheiser, Sports and Entertainment Management; Team of Chace Schuler and Jayce Norsen, Desktop Publishing; Team of Ciearrah Kastawa and Fiona Schwarztrauber, Exploring Business Issues.

Mountain View High School students along, with the Region 27 officers planned and ran the conference for the middle school students from Mountain View, Montrose and Tunkhannock. Susky Elementary Reading Achievement

The following is a list of the Susquehanna Community Elementary students who received a Reading Achievement Award for the 3rd Quarter of the 2023-2024 school year. A student must maintain an A average (93-100) for the quarter in order to receive this award.

Megan Tewksbury Gets KU Internship

Kutztown University awarded its Unpaid Internship Scholarships to 10 students for this year, including Megan Tewksbury, of Meshoppen. The Unpaid Internship Scholarship provides a student, who otherwise may not be able to complete an internship due to financial reasons, a scholarship to assist with financial needs (i.e., transportation, food). Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and submit an application, essay and a letter of recommendation.

Ella Gillespie On TU Dean's List

Ella Gillespie, Class of 2025, of Union Dale, was named to the dean's list at Tufts University for the Fall, 2023 semester. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
